This course provides a high-level overview of the process undertaken to procure consultant services that are eligible for State/Airport grant funds. It will focus on guidance available to ensure compliance with federal standards and procedures, types of contracts for these services and guidelines for determining the reasonableness of consultant fees.
This course will take you through the procurement process and the compliance requirements in place for procuring services under an airport grant-funded project. You will be knowledgeable of the process to engage consultant services, understand the guidance and criteria that is in place to support a strong procurement process, and be familiar with how to determine reasonableness of consultant fees. In addition, this course will briefly describe the method of contracting available for consultant services.
